张元竹博士,南方科技大学化学系副教授, 中组部“青年千人”入选者,深圳市孔雀B类人才。2000年和2005年分获北京大学化学与分子工程学院学士、博士学位,导师高松院士。2007年获全国百篇优秀博士论文提名奖。2005年至2013年先后在日本九州大学先导物质化学研究所、美国纽约州立布法罗分校、肯塔基大学及密苏里州立-圣路易斯分校从事博士后研究。2013-2015年美国德州农工大学化学系助理研究员。主要从事功能分子磁性材料的开发研究。在国际学术期刊发表论文三十余篇,被引用2100余次。
